Brittnie
Brittnie Michalscheck joined our staff in September 2012. She graduated from Ridgewater College with an AAS degree in veterinary technology. She enjoys working with small animals and has a special interest in animal behavior. Brittnie and her husband, Robert, enjoy visiting state parks in their free time and playing ball with their dogs, Chesney and Brooks.
Holly
Holly Monnier, CVT joined Big Sioux in May 2015. She graduated from Globe University with an associates degree in Applied Science of Veterinary Technology. Holly likes working with small animals and horses with a focus on dentistry and anesthesia. In her free time, she enjoys camping, running, and spending time with her husband, Jacob, and her two dogs, Delco and Makita.
Amber
Amber Froehlich joined our staff in January of 2017. She graduated from Globe University with an associates degree in Applied Science of Veterinary Technology. Her interests include working with pocket pets and small animals. In her free time, she enjoys painting, reading, and spending time with her husband, cats, and ducks.
Mari
Mari Clarke joined our staff in March of 2018. She is a graduate of Globe University with an associates degree in Applied Science of Veterinary Technology. She has an interest in working with small animals and monitoring anesthesia. In her spare time she loves to be outside hunting, camping, or just relaxing and of course spending time with her fiancee, Bailey, and their dog, Ada.
Bryn
Bryn Tvedt grew up outside Volga, South Dakota, and joined Big Sioux as a Veterinary Assistant in 2021. She is a graduate of South Dakota State University where she earned a bachelors degree in Animal Science (Industry). She prefers working with large animals. In her free time, she enjoys working on the family livestock and grain farm, going to the lake, and riding horses.

Kaitlyn Day joined Big Sioux as a veterinary technician in February 2022.
Abby
Abby Veldman joined the Big Sioux team in July 2022. She graduated from Southeast Technical College with an associates degree in Veterinary Technology. She enjoys working with both small and large animals. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her husband, Trey

Tina Madsen joined Big Sioux as a receptionist in 2013. Tina grew up in Madison, South Dakota, and graduated from Dakota State University. Tina and her partner Duane keep themselves busy with their 6 children, 4 dogs, and 4 cats. In their spare time, they love to go camping and ride their motorcycles.
Ashley
Ashley Triebwasser joined Big Sioux as a receptionist in July 2017. Ashley is a graduate of the Lake Area Technical Institute Large Animal Program. Her and her husband, Logan, live on an acreage near Volga, with their 2 black labs, 2 horses, donkey, and 40 Black Angus pairs.
Mona
Mona Christensen began working at Big Sioux as a veterinary assistant in April 2019. Mona grew up on a dairy farm near Holland MN and graduated from MN West-Pipestone Veterinary Office Management program. She lives in Lake Benton MN with her husband Tom, son Dylan, nephew John, and daughter Jenae. Mona also owns and operates Happy Hound Grooming in Lake Benton. In her free time, she enjoys going to garage sales, ready and spending time with her black lab Macie, Bassett hound Bug, and orange rescue kitty Bert.
Jessica
Jessica Waldner joined the Big Sioux team as a veterinary assistant in August 2021. She attended Southeast Technical College as a veterinary technician. She moved back to Brookings. She enjoys time with friends, coming to work, and snuggling with her dog, Ryder.
